On the back of a complete rebrand, Pai Skincare has unveiled its second ceramide-fuelled product to settle stressed skin around the eye.

The new System D Cooling Eye Serum (£39) features a ceramide complex made up of wheat seed, to strengthen the skin against environmental stressors, and omegas 3, 6 and 9 to maintain the skin’s structure.

Hyaluronic acid also helps to counteract water loss and regulate moisture.

Meanwhile, schisandra protects skin from itchiness and irritation, which – according to Pai – can be brought on by changes in temperature.

“This product is an oxymoron,” said Pai’s founder Sarah Brown.

“Gentle enough for the very thin, delicate eye area but an absolute powerhouse in every other sense.

“We wanted a formula that could alleviate dryness from temperature changes and central heating, heightened stress and the overwhelming effects of continuous screen time.”

In keeping with Pai’s relaunch, there is a story behind the new product’s name.

The term System D comes from the French word débrouillard, meaning resourceful.

Brown added: “The name felt appropriate for such a bright spark at a time when people need it most.”
