The fragrance expert and founder of Jo Loves has worked with the Inditex-owned retailer to debut a range of eight scents

Fashion retailer Zara has called on the fragrance expertise of perfumer Jo Malone, the founder of Jo Loves, for its latest perfume launch.

Malone has worked with the Inditex-owned retailer to create a range of eight unisex fragrances called Zara Emotions by Jo Loves (€25.95 each).

The edps are said to be inspired by Zara’s past, present and future fashion collections.

Malone said: “I am delighted to join Zara on this amazing adventure of creativity and collaboration.

"Our first collection is drawn on the global heritage of both brands, Zara and Jo Loves; using ingredients I have loved for many years. Every fragrance has been crafted with personality and a voice to tell its story in a unique fashion. I hope you enjoy this first collection – it is full of imagination and artistry."

The edps include Ebony Wood, Vetiver Pamplemousse, Amalfi Sunray, Tubereuse Noir, Fleur D’Orange and Fleur De Patchouli.

Bohemiam Bluebells, said to be Malone's favourite, contains notes of lavender, sandalwood and musk.

Speaking of the scent, Malone said: “This is the unexpeted fragrance – either love it or don’t. It is like nothing I have created before – very vigorous.

"Strong cologne notes of the lavender are blended with smoky lapsang souchong bluebells – this reminds of three great artists I love – the wateriness of Monet, the Strong powerful lines of Picasso and the beauty of Klimt. To top it all, it is very sexy.”

Meanwhile, describing Waterlily Tea Dress, which contains notes of vert de bergamot, spearmint and musk, she said: “Soft jazz music plays in the background, picnics on the lawn, a vintage tea dress floats by in the gentle breeze.”

The Zara Emotions collection is available exclusively in Zara stores and on zara.com in Europe, México, Australia and New Zealand.
