Organic C&T has a long tradition in Germany – it is the biggest organic market in the EU – and certified organic products are available in every retail channel, including discounters, drugstores, supermarkets, department stores and speciality retailers. All of Germany’s drugstore chains and even some of the discounters have their own certified organic own label ranges.
Beauty & Nature is one of Germany’s best-known organic perfumery chains. Founded in 2000, the chain has three outlets: the first Beauty & Nature store opened in 2000 in the Bavarian city of Munich. Stores in Erlangen (southern Germany) and Leipzig (eastern Germany) followed, in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Leipzig has the biggest Beauty & Nature store, with a retail area of 600sqm extending over two floors.
