NIVEA and Head & Shoulders among those brands recognised at the tenth anniversary event
Multi-purpose and time saving beauty products have been recognised at the annual Product of the Year awards, which celebrated its ten year anniversary last night.
The results of Product of the Year's annual survey, which is produced in conjunction with TNS and quizzes nearly 12,000 consumers, reveal that consumers are in search of clever product innovations which offer multifunctions or added convenience for time-saving. NIVEA was recognised at the awards for its In-Shower Body Moisturiser, which is instantly absorbed into wet skin for soft and silky feeling skin. In oral care, meanwhile, the Oral-B Professional Care 600 White & Clean power toothbrush triumphed with its dentist-inspired polishing cup, claimed to give naturally whiter teeth in just two weeks.
Other winners on the night recognised for their advances in skin and hair care include Head & Shoulders’ new leave-on treatments, designed to deliver an immediate and lasting strengthening and thickening boost for fine, weak hair and Eucerin’s Even Brighter Spot Corrector that effectively corrects pigmentation, showing a visible reduction after only four weeks.
Mike Nolan, CEO at Product of the Year said: “Product of the Year is at the forefront of product innovation. As we celebrate our tenth anniversary in the UK this year, we’re delighted to announce the winning products for 2014 which include some truly first rate innovation across the FMCG sector. With a 10%-15% average sales increase reported by Product of the Year winners across the globe, we expect sales to go from strength to strength.”
The award ceremony was held at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London’s West End, and was attended by manufacturers including Procter & Gamble and Unilever.
