Comic Actor Will Ferrell has teamed up with charity Cancer for College to create a new SPF product – Super Mega Sexy Hot Tan.
The SPF 30 product is sold in packs of two, with free shipping, for $20. All proceeds will be donated to the charity. Cancer for College grants scholarships to survivors on a perpetual or one-off basis. Since its inception in 1993, the charity has donated more than $2m to almost 1,000 cancer survivors.
Cancer for College was founded by Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor Craig Pollard, who has been friends with the Anchorman star since the pair attended University of Southern California. Ferrell sits on the charity’s Executive Board and acts as its Celebrity Spokesperson.
Ferrell commented: “The sun is an evil celestial demon. It tricks us into worshipping it with its warm alluring rays and bright primary colour. Don’t be fooled. It wants to destroy us and is hell bent on world domination. I’ve worked in my lab with a team of skin scientists and retired astronaut Brock Sternum to create what we think is the best sunscreen yet.”
In a statement shared on its website, Cancer for College said: “We wanted to create a fund raising product that could benefit the charity and capitalise on Will’s millions of fans. Will was nice enough to consent to the ridiculous images on the bottle and 100% of the proceeds go to the Cancer for College Scholarship Fund.”
