Results presented at the 9th Event of the European Epidermal Research Network

In co-operation with the Microscopy Services Dähnhardt GmbH, the Spirig Pharma AG and the Dermatological Faculty of the University of Schleswig-Holstein, the results of a study will be illustrated, in which the recently developed method Lipbarvis® - a non-invasive technique, enabling the visualisation of the epidermal lipid barrier – was applied.

The aim of the study was to examine the efficacy of a cosmetic product before and two weeks after application, in comparison to untreated atopic skin, using Lipbarvis®.

This year’s event of the European Epidermal Research Networks takes place on September 7-8, 2011 in Barcelona.

proDerm will also present a poster entitled ‘Linoleic acid and a new moisturizing complex provide a protective effect against thermal damage of human hair’ at HairS11 which runs from 6-8 September. Hair scientists will come together at this international congress which is organized by the DWI in order to discuss new research results and trends.

proDERM will present the results of a study in cooperation with the chemical laboratory Dr. Kurt Richter GmbH. In this study, the efficacy of a hair formula containing linoleic acid was investigated. It is expected that this hair formula will protect the hair from thermal damages.
