Key Responsibilities:
- Be involved in all stages of NPD, from creation of ideas, recipe development and trials to scale up and commercialisation
- Originate new product formulations that meet with customer product brief and comply with legislative policy
- To ensure formulations developed can be consistently manufactured – coordinating pre-production trials where necessary
- Technical policies - developing consistency across methodology and process across sites
- To maintain raw material and product formulations in line with regulatory, BRC, andcustomer requirements
- To prepare the Technical content on product formulation and manufacturing process for the application of various, registration requirements, dossiers and certification schemes
- To coordinate new product sample requests and production trials, liaising with Production and Purchasing departments
- Using scientific research and insight identify opportunities for new product development, improvement or advances in manufacturing/testing processes
- The testing and release of raw materials, semi- finished and finished product as required.
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience working in product development in Food/Beverage Production (Essential)
- A science or food related degree (desirable)
- Previous experience working with manufacturing processes (desirable)
- Can quickly adapt to change and manage multiple projects.
