Hallmarks of 20th Anniversary Year Celebrations; Core Values still at Heart of Anisa International
Anisa International, Inc. kicks off 2012 with two key awards that celebrate its 20th anniversary year. The Company was recently awarded U.S. patent 8.074,666 for its brushes with interchangeable magnetic heads. Additionally, Intertek has awarded the Company the Workplace Conditions Assessment (WCA) Achievement Award (Trust ID #166625).
Anisa Telwar, President of Anisa International congratulated her team saying, “I am so proud each individual’s contribution is supportive of our mission and our clients. Every day we bring a passion to the business that translates into relevant, responsible and, above all, innovative solutions that serve our clients and their consumers. That is incredibly evident today in these two major awards. The U.S. Patent (8.074,666) validates that we are innovators in the field, while the WCA award ensures that we’re driving those innovations ethically and responsibly.”
The patent for Brushes with Interchangeable Magnetic Heads was also recognized as a winner of the HBA Global Expo’s International Packaging Design Awards (IPDA) and is commercially available via top consumer brands such as Bare Escentuals, Sonia Kashuk for Target and Quo for Shopper’s Drug Mart. “We recognized the ingenuity of using magnetic technology as it applies to cosmetic brushes to offer our customers something truly beneficial that pairs seamlessly across our cosmetics portfolio. We feel privileged to be honored for bringing this innovation to the forefront of the industry,” said Sarina Godin, VP Global Product Development, Bare Escentuals.
“Anisa International is unique in that we pair innovation in the beauty category with operational and manufacturing excellence,” notes Company COO/CFO Ken Taylor. He continued saying, “Social responsibility is fundamental to our integrated manufacturing facility. We’re always looking for ways to benchmark ourselves in the industry through reputable third-party sources like Intertek. We view their Workplace Conditions Assessment (WCA) Achievement Award as a transparent way to share information about our plant with our clients.”
WCA is viewed by the industry as a powerful tool for evaluating, benchmarking and continuously improving supplier workplace conditions. The WCA standard is aligned with the Global Social Compliance Program (GSCP), which, in turn, is endorsed by the world’s largest retail association.
