The French company ARD and Oleon NV, from Belgium, are joining forces in order to market a new generation of fully natural, vegetal renewable, sugar surfactants known as alkyl poly pentosides.

The 50/50 venture means ARD, having played the major role in developing the surfactants, will handover the production to Oleon, who will, with the assistance of Soliance (an affiliate of ARD), also take responsibility for distribution.

The green product range is said to fit both partner's long-term strategy and will provide users with a comprehensive range of emulsifiers, surfactants and hydrotropes.
