Tracey Woodward took on the position after the brand’s co-founder Geraldine Howard passed away in 2016

Luxury skin care and wellbeing brand Aromatherapy Associates has announced the resignation of its CEO Tracey Woodward, after two years at its helm.

Woodward took over the reins of the brand after its founder Geraldine Howard lost her battle with a rare form of eye cancer in 2016.

She was a former Executive Board Member of CEW before joining the beauty brand and started her own market research company Tracey Woodward Associates.

Her resignation will be effective from 31 December and will be succeeded by former Global Head of Business Development at Walgreens Boots Alliance, Anna Teal.

Prior to her eight-year career at Walgreens, Teal served for six years with Boots in various managerial positions.

Commenting on the news, Woodward said: “I am delighted to handover the brand to Anna, we have worked together for many years on projects throughout our careers and I know that I leave this precious brand in capable hands with the support of the global team.”

The duo will work together during a transition period up until the new year.

Meanwhile, Woodward will continue to serve the brand as a consultant and ambassador.

Teal added: “I am delighted and feel very privileged to be able to take on this role from Tracey to whom I am incredibly appreciative for the care she has taken to restore the brand and get it to the place it is today.

“The brand carries a very powerful heritage and purpose which is increasingly relevant in today’s modern world.”
