The safety of the use of parabens in cosmetics and personal care products has divided opinion among those in the industry for some time. However, over the past week, some decisive action was taken against the use of five parabens as preservatives in cosmetics by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
ASEAN bans use of five parabens
Among those banned are isopropylparaben, isobutylparabenm and phenylparaben
