Avon is settling comfortably back into direct selling in China. The company has launched new direct sale services and upgraded technologies, which it says takes it into the second stage of its direct sales business.
The second stage will see Avon focus on training direct sellers and constructing service outlets in China, which the company says will remain its largest long-term market. A new global market programme will begin in March and Avon has made China's State Diving Team its two-year official partner.
The company's ordering system is to be improved with direct sellers using mobile phones to place orders. This is expected to reduce time from order placement to delivery by 30 hours to 42 hours.
