UK soul singer Beverley Knight has launched a new cosmetics range which is being hailed as the first colour line of its kind to address the needs of black and Asian skin.
K By Beverley Knight will launch exclusively in Selfridges’ London store and features face, lip and eye colours specifically developed for darker skin tones.
The collection comprises 15 skus and includes oil free foundations, pressed powder, concealers, eye shadows, eyeliners and lipsticks. Knight was keen to ensure the colour spectrum was as comprehensive as possible and as such the range includes 78 different shades to address every skin tone requirement.
“Time and time again I would find myself looking for make-up that would work for my skin – everything from bases to eye shadows and lipsticks but the choice was very limited and like the vast majority of black and dark-skinned woken I found there wasn’t anything that provided the full spectrum of colours I needed,” explains Knight.
