ProCondition 22 [INCI: Brassicamidopropyl dimethylamine] is a new multifunctional, conditioning ingredient derived from Brassicacae oil. The ingredient uses the whole oil and efficacy studies are said to demonstrate: cost effective behenyl conditioning; good emulsification with high viscosity at lower usage levels; good rinseability without build-up on hair; good anti-static properties to aid dry combing; and a good ecology profile as it has low irritant potential and is biodegradable.

The ingredient is claimed to outperform traditional cationic materials such as cetrimonium chloride, behentrimonium chloride and stearamidopropyl dimethylamine.

ProCondition 22 is produced by Inolex and is now being distributed by S. Black in the UK and Ireland.
