Companies to buy permits to emit greenhouse gases


Bulk organic chemical producers, including some suppliers to the personal care product sector, are preparing for their inclusion in the EU’s emissions trading system (ETS) from January 2013. From then, they will have to buy permits to emit greenhouse gases, which could increase the price of their products.
