Burberry Body boosts Inter Parfums’ Q3

2011 sales forecast revised following record results


Inter Parfums has revised its 2011 sales forecast upwards after confirming record sales in the third quarter. Third quarter results were boosted by the launch of the new Burberry perfume and as reported earlier by good performances from Jimmy Choo and Montblanc.

Sales in the reporting quarter rose 29% to €110m. Interparfums said it now expected annual sales to turn out between €360m and €370m instead of the €350m forecast at the end of July. Sales of the Burberry brand went up 29% but Lanvin was down 11%. The company's promotional budget for the year has now been increased from €90m to €95m.
