NAB Butterbur Extract is the latest addition to the NAB range of botanical extracts from Arch Personal Care, distributed by Adina Cosmetic Ingredients.

The Butterbur herb grows in marsh meadows and by river banks and is part of the daisy family. The leaves grow up to 3 feet in diameter. It has been used for thousands of years as an anti-inflammatory, a smooth muscle relaxant and a pain reliever and it has also been found to be effective at helping to relieve discomfort in sensitive skin associated with irritation and rocacea.

NAB Butterbur Extract demonstrates an ability to minimise mast cell degranulation and histamine release in vitro, making it an ideal ingredient for sensitive or irritated skin.
