Canadian cosmetics brand Cargo has introduced a new best before technology to its lip glosses which is claimed to help consumers know exactly when their cosmetic product is past its sell by date.
The Timestrip technology comprises a small strip that can be embedded in the cap of the lip gloss. Once activated, a window on the strip starts to turn red, indicating the passage of time, with one, three and nine month periods marked. When the entire window is red, says company Timestrip, the product has reached its sell by date.
“We are proud to be the first to offer this technology,” said Hana Zalzal, Cargo founder. “Women can now be assured that their gloss is fresh and effective.”
The Timestrip technology is available on Cargo’s Classic and blu_ray lip gloss lines.
