CEW (UK) announces 2008 Beauty Awards Winners

Cosmetic Executive Women UK (CEW) has announced the winners of the 2008 Beauty Awards with Clarins, Jo Malone, Elemis, Boots, Urban Retreat, Coty and Elizabeth Arden all scooping top accolades.

Award winners are chosen by CEW (UK’s) 600 strong membership, which is made up of members of the beauty industry. A product demonstration evening was held in February where members were able to test the 200+ products entered and then vote on a winner for each of the 28 categories. The awards are now in their third year.

“This year’s awards have been the most successful to date,” said Caroline Neville, president of CEW (UK). “CEW (UK) looks at the awards very carefully to make sure they represent the industry’s but the consumers’ needs. It’s a way of recognising industry excellence but also getting the word out to the consumer on what to buy.”

The winning products will be supported by retail promotions in Harrods, House of Fraser and World Duty Free stores throughout May, as well as featuring on a special two-hour programme on broadcast retailer QVC on 22nd April.
