CEW (UK) announces its Achiever Awards for 2010

Avon ceo, Andrea Jung, scoops prestigious Lifetime Achiever Award at ceremony


The CEW (UK) Achiever Awards 2010 have been announced with Avon ceo, Andrea Jung, given the Lifetime Achiever Award for her commitment and leadership in the industry, at the ceremony that recognises women’s achievements in the beauty industry.

Said Jung of the honour: “The opportunities for women are great now and I feel it is a privilege to be a female leader for a company that walks the talk – Avon is the company for women.”

The four Achiever Awards went to Angela Rowley, general manager, Estée Lauder Tom Ford Beauty, UK & Ireland; Michelle Feeney, ceo, St Tropez; Kate Shapland, beauty editor, Telegraph Media Group; and Sian Sutherland, founding partner, Mama Mio.

The CEW (UK) Members’ Achiever Award, which is voted for by its members, was awarded to Annalise Quest, general merchandise manager beauty, Harrods. This award is given to someone who demonstrates that they have the ability to make it right to the top of the beauty profession.

Lastly, the Special Industry Award went to Robert Vincent, managing director, Clarins UK, who received a standing ovation as he was presented with his award by his daughter, Anne Vincent, and Christian Courtin-Clarins, president and ceo, Clarins.
