Ciba has introduced Tinovis ADE, claimed to be an innovative anionic rheology modifier that provides excellent rheology control as well as a smooth look and feel developed specifically for skin care products. Due to its multifunctionality and effectiveness at low use levels, the modifier is said to increase the efficiency of product formulation. Supplied in liquid form, potential applications include lotions and creams for hand and body care, facial scrubs and moisturisers, sun care and after-sun products and cosmetic bases.
“Skin care is one of the fastest growing segments of the cosmetics and toiletries market, and one of the key drivers of that growth is the increasing variety of new products and effects being offered to the consumer,” says Catherine Ehrenberger, global head of Ciba’s home & personal care business line. “The mutifunctional benefits and versatility of Tinovis ADE allow formulators to develop streamlined, cost effective products that meet the performance requirements of today’s dynamic skin care market.”
