Cognis granted BDIH certification on 30 naturals

Cognis has been awarded BDIH certification for 30 of its natural ingredients. The cosmetic oils, emulsifiers and surfactants are from the company’s Care Chemicals division and its active ingredients business, Laboratoires Sérobiologiques, and can now be used in natural cosmetics.

“We want to help our customers to position and market their products,” said Ute Griesbach, senior marketing manager, Cognis. “Our 70% share of natural-based and renewable raw materials and the Green Chemical Solutions classification system allow us to meet this green customer trend.

According to the company, several other products are currently at the application or evaluation stage of the BDIH certification process; in addition to the 90 ingredients from Cognis’ portfolio that already meet the Ecocert standard.
