Cognis Care Chemicals has launched Cosmedia Triple C, a blend of cationic inverse emulsion polymer, cosmetic emollient and ethylene oxide (EO)-free emulsifier, which it says represents a new generation of liquid dispersion polymers. Cosmedia Triple C is significantly more tolerant towards electrolytes and generates improved viscosity behaviour in skin and hair care products, according to the ingredient specialist. It demonstrates pseudoplastic flow behaviour, making formulations containing Cosmedia Triple C easy for consumers to apply. It also imparts a dry silky feel on the skin and improves the combability of wet and dry hair.
Cosmedia Triple C contains no ethoxylated or alkoxylated emulsifiers so formulators can fit in with the trend towards EO-free products.
In addition, 63 Cognis and Laboratoires Sérobiologiques products have been certified as natural ingredients by the NPA. These include Eumulgin SG, Euperlan Green, Plantasil Micro and Euphoryl ?-3.
