Together with Lonza Inc, Cornelius Polska Sp. Z o.o organised their 3rd cosmetics & personal care Technical Seminar. Held in the prestigious Marriott Warsaw, the Seminar provided delegates with updates on the latest launches within Lonza actives and preservation systems, while Cornelius team was on hand to answer questions about formulatory challenges and their innovative portfolio.
Vince Gruber, Lonza Global R&D Director, gave an overview of the new generations of actives, while Suellen Bennett (Global Marketing Manager) covered the latest market trends in textures. Lonza Global Preservative Marketing Manager, Laura Szymczak, covered the challenging topic of Preservatives and preservative systems, including Natrulon GPS 341- the latest multifunctional ingredient to be launched at inCosmetics. Interesting discussion ensued on the current regulations regarding the preservation systems. The difference between the raw material INCI name and the formulation INCI name were discussed and clarified. Personal Care Council (PCPC) provides guidelines which Lonza stringently follows. Lonza openly provide the complete breakdown of the raw material and PCPC assign an Inci name to the product. Ori Callot, Lonza European Sales Manager, emphasised that the full product breakdown is provided separately to that of the INCI name list.

A question was asked whether the challenge test on protection system Biovert has been undertaken. Laura Szymczak commented: "We challenged our formulation system Biovert; the results show that for the formulation the system was protected at room temperature after 3 years."
Chemical manufacturers continue to be impressed by the Polish cosmetics market eagerness to learn and share ideas for innovation, the way to take the cosmetics industry forward.
