CPL Aromas is pleased to announce a 20% increase in its funding to the UK-based charity CAFOD.
CAFOD works in more than 60 countries tackling poverty and injustice and is part of the global Caritas family who provide assistance to the poor, the vulnerable and the excluded.
For 2011 CPL Aromas is able to confirm a donation of £100,000 which will provide funding for six specific projects throughout the world that have been selected by members of the Pickthall family. The projects include:
• Support for Youth Peace Facilitators in Uganda
• A Trauma and healing programme for those affected by the conflict in Rwanda
• Continued funding for a Schools project in Khartoum Sudan
• Help for the internally displaced and vulnerable communities in Southern Colombia
• Programmes to reduce adolescent girls’ vulnerability to commercial exploitation in Nicaragua
• Funds to help provide a Psychosocial Counselling Centre in Northern Gaza
CPL has been working with CAFOD for 11 years and is committed to donating a proportion of profits to this charitable organisation every year.
