Croda has launched its OptaSense line, a versatile range of polymers that are said to have functions beyond thickening.


Croda has launched its OptaSense line, a versatile range of polymers that are said to have functions beyond thickening.

This diverse series of rheology modifiers and conditioners has been developed specifically to allow formulators to provide a perceivable sensory appeal in their products.

The range currently incorporates seven products, with more to be introduced in 2007. Croda claims the complete series enables the creation, through ingredient choice, of next generation products with advanced sensory appeal. Each product in the range offers different formulating advantages.

As a thickener, Optasense G40 provides an economical solution for clear gel systems. The Optasense Liquid Dispersion Polymers allow the creation of elegant creams and lotions. Conditioning polymers OptaSense CP6 and CP7 provide conditioning benefits to both hair and skin care applications.

Samples of all products in the line are available as well as formulations demonstrating the attributes of these ingredients.
