Extrapone was introduced by Symrise last year as part of a range of plant extracts from Ayervedic medicine. Cyperus rotundus is used traditionally as an anti-inflammatory active and is also used as an ingredient in perfumes and insect repellents. Thanks to this latest research the ingredient is now being recommended for skin lightening and anti-ageing properties.
