Purchase expands PLM offer to personal care industry

French product Lifecycle Management (PLM) specialist Dassault Systèmes has announced the acquisition of Connecticut-based Enginuity PLM for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition will expand Dassault Systèmes’ collaborative business process solutions based on the ENOVIA V6 platform and is hoped to accelerate product innovation and launches while managing regulatory requirements, packaging, consumer intellectual property and the product formula itself.

“At a time when many products are coming under increased scrutiny from the international community, the ability to avoid mistakes and costly recalls while accelerating product development is of paramount importance,” commented Michel Tyler, ceo, ENOVIA, Dassault Systèmes. “We believe that the acquisition of Enginuity represents a keystone in our PLM solution for formula-based industries, enabling us to expand the services and value that we deliver to our customers in this previously underserved space.”
