Formulated by Alland & Robert, pioneer of natural gums since 1884, Demecare® is an innovative range of natural gums to formulate clean, organic and sustainable cosmetics. It is composed of acacia gum and sterculia gum as well as patented blends.
Acacia and sterculia gums are both exudations of trees and have many functional properties: they are emulsifiers, texturing and film-forming agents. They provide stability and texture to cosmetics, thanks to their viscosity, rheological and texturising properties. They are used as an emulsifier in lotions or serums that require specific textures or gels very similar to those obtained with synthetic texturising agents.
Through research, Alland & Robert offers credible solutions for the replacement of synthetic ingredients. The DemeCare® range is designed to help formulators create a wide range of safe, natural and healthy cosmetic products, such as creams, milks and lotions, shower gels and make-up.
All the products of the Demecare® range are available organic and are COSMOS certified. Acacia and sterculia gums are 100% natural, vegetal, biodegradable and sustainable. They both receive the maximum rating according to the ISO 16128 Standard, which defines the ingredients of natural and organic cosmetics.
During in-cosmetics 2025, Alland & Robert will be focusing on the latest product in the range: DemeCare® Blend Cream. This new blend of acacia and sterculia gums allows to formulate skincare products with excellent penetration without soaping, and a rich and creamy texture with no sticky or glutinous effect.
