The Dow Chemical Company is to distribute patent pending ZinClear-IM suncreen products produced by Advanced Nanotechnology Ltd (ANT) in the US and Latin America.


The Dow Chemical Company is to distribute patent pending ZinClear-IM suncreen products produced by Advanced Nanotechnology Ltd (ANT) in the US and Latin America.

ZinClear-IM is said to combine safety and broad spectrum UV absorption properties of zinc oxide with superior transparency and improved aesthetic benefits for sun, daily use and colour cosmetic formulations. Dow will provide formulation, technical and logistics support as part of the multi-year, renewable distribution agreement.

“We are excited to offer this product to the personal care industry,” commented Eunice Heath, global marketing & sales director of Dow Wolff Cellulosics, a business unit of Dow. “Given the new regulations proposed by the US FDA and the increased public awareness about the danger of UVA rays, the timing for this strategic relationship is excellent news for the personal care sector.”
