Engelhard is renamed under BASF integration

The German ingredients specialist BASF Group says that it has taken an important step towards the integration of Engelhard into its business with the announcement of a new name for the group.

Engelhard will now be known as BASF Catalysts in the US. This will cover even the parts of Engelhard’s operations that have nothing to do with catalysts until plans are finalised for the Appearance and Performance Technologies and Ventures businesses to be transferred to other existing BASF business units.

“This rebranding signifies a key milestone in the integration process as it brings together BASF’s brand strength and Engelhard’s strong reputation for innovation and quality,” said Klaus Peter Löbbe, BASF board member responsible for North America. “Engelhard is an integral part of BASF as the world’s leading chemical company.”
