The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of its Manufacturing & Fulfilment Campus in Oevel, Belgium.
The “state-of-the-art” manufacturing has served the Clinique-owner as one of its most crucial fulfilment and biotech hubs.
It is the company’s largest manufacturing facility by volume, annually producing more than 100 million prestige beauty products, which are then shipped to more than 100 countries.
“Nearly 60 years ago, my grandparents, Estée and Joseph Lauder, laid the cornerstone of our first facility here in Oevel, establishing what would become a vital part of our global operations,” said William P. Lauder, Chair, Board of Directors, ELC.
“From those early days, our Oevel Campus has evolved into a vibrant community, and one of our most advanced centres for manufacturing and innovation.”
The campus spans more than 100,000sqm across multiple buildings, having grown fivefold from its original footprint, ELC claimed.
The site now includes a BioTech Hub in nearby Olen, Belgium, where scientists produce bio-based raw materials using fermentation and biotechnology.
The facility also supports new product launches and personalised manufacturing, with advanced technologies as well as artificial intelligence (AI)-integrated facilities throughout.
“The evolution of our Oevel Campus is a powerful reflection of how The Estée Lauder Companies honours its heritage while moving boldly into the future,” said Stéphane de La Faverie, President and CEO.
“As one of our most advanced and sustainable manufacturing sites, our campus here exemplifies how we are reimagining beauty through innovation, quality and responsibility – driven every day by the passion and expertise of our people.”
It follows ELC opening its Fragrance Atelier in Paris, France, as the US beauty giant doubles down on high-end perfumes to drive growth.
The global innovation hub serves as a space “fully dedicated to world-class fragrance expertise, advanced technologies and cutting-edge capabilities”, ELC stated.
The Atelier is housed in ELC’s La Maison des Parfums building, second arrondissement at 14 to 18 Rue Volney, which opened in 2025 and centralised the company’s fragrance brand teams across marketing, creative and product development.
