Gattefossé has announced it has launched a new active ingredient claimed to target cellular dynamism and reinforce the strength of the dermis, helping to fight the signs of ageing.
Gatuline In-Tense stimulates the biomechanical functions of the fibroblasts helping to enhance density and firmness in the skin. The active contains a concentrated oily extract taken from the upper part of the Spilanthes acmella plant, said to be rich in Alkylamides.
Tested in vivo at 2%, the active is claimed to smooth the skin's microrelief from the first application, with a 50% reduction in the wrinkled surface. After 28 days the results are said to be even more profound.
Gatuline In-Tense can be used in anti-ageing facial applications, firming care and anti stretch mark treatments, as well as products to help restructure the oval shape of the face, according to Gattefossé.
