Parfums Givenchy has invited internet-users to interpret their impressions of its new men’s fragrance, Play, in musical form on a new interactive website.
Fans of the fragrance can visit the playgivenchy.com website to create their own compositions for an online competition. The site provides a sound-mixing console with 30 predefined tracks, including guitar, bass, keyboards and percussion, on which participants can design their own tracks based on the two scent variations of Play, EDT and EDT intense.
Individual sound mixes can be submitted to social networking sites Facebook and Myspace, and visitors to the Play website can vote for their favourite composition.
Each day, the creator of the track that has received the most public votes will win a Play EDT. When the competition ends next month, the creator of the most popular track will win a day to record it in a studio.
