Henkel is voluntarily recalling its Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Grip 6.76 fl. Oz/200 ml sold in the US due to a potential packaging issue.
The German multinational company stated that the product could leak from the package under pressure, creating a “risk of explosion”, according to its recall announcement, which was also posted on the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) website.
Henkel claimed it learned about this situation through one customer complaint and two salon reports.
Bruising on the hand was reported by the customer, and no other injuries were identified, according to the Dusseldorf-based business.
Henkel is conducting this voluntary recall with the FDA’s knowledge and is encouraging customers to return the affected products to their place of purchase for a full refund.
A Henkel company statement read: “Schwarzkopf Professional seeks to minimise all inconvenience this may cause consumers and is committed to their complete satisfaction.”
Cosmetics Business has contacted Henkel for a statement.
