Fuelled by growth in all of its key international markets, French luxury brand Hermès has seen its consolidated revenue in the first half of 2013 hit €1.76bn – an increase of 14.4% at constant exchange rates.
During the second quarter, sales in group-owned shops climbed 16.7% at constant exchange rates while wholesale sales grew 12.9% at constant exchange rates.
Sales were strong across all of the company’s geographical regions of business, with Asia (excluding Japan) climbing 17%, Japan growing 8% and Europe growing 14% despite a difficult economic environment. Finally, the Americas saw sales climb 17%.
