Few products express the joy of formulation quite as clearly as a shower jelly, and much of that joy comes from the wobble itself.
It has a playful texture that offers immediate visual and tactile appeal, yet is underpinned by a carefully balanced interplay of structure, cleansing performance, pH and skin feel.

The key feature of the shower jelly is its wobbly gel structure, and this is created through a mixture of kappa and iota carrageenan, which are seaweed-derived polymers that create a gel network that is both stable and elastic.
It is important to find the ratio between them, since too much kappa carrageenan, which gives the strength needed to set and hold the structure, generates a stiff, brittle gel.
