IFF announces opening of new flavours and fragrances plant in Jurong Singapore
Higher capacity facility to replace existing plant
International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (IFF), the creator of flavours and fragrances for consumer products, has announced that it will open a new liquid flavours and fragrances manufacturing plant in Jurong, Singapore.
The plant, a higher capacity 12,000 square metre facility, will replace IFF’s existing plant and is part of the company’s $100m investment in Greater Asia. The facility was designed in order to allow IFF to maximise productivity and efficiency, while reducing its impact on the environment – the new plant will dramatically reduce the amount of water, energy and cleaning chemicals used.

Tan Choon Shian, deputy managing director of the Singapore Economic Development board, added: ““Singapore is delighted that a market-leader like IFF has chosen to establish its state-of-the-art green manufacturing facility and Centre of Excellence for functional fragrances here. This validates our pro-business environment and robust intellectual property protection for companies such as IFF to undertake proprietary manufacturing activities that will help them win in Asia.”
