Green active ingredients specialist Soliance has developed two ECOCERT certified organic cosmetic oils. Kendi oil is extracted from the almonds of Aleurites moluccana, a tree native to the Sulawesi islands. Described as sensory, the oil is extracted using a mechanical pressure cold process and is said to be rich in omega 3 and γ-tocopherol. Also available is nyamplung oil, extracted from the almonds of Calophyllum inophyllum, an Indonesian tree traditionally used for its therapeutic properties. According to Soliance, nyamplung oil is rich in unsaponifiables and tocotrienol and prevents photoageing through three synergistic properties. It can be used to enhance the efficacy of sunscreen and prevent DNA damage induced by UV exposure and oxidative stress.
