Inter Parfums anticipates perfume boost
Burberry Body, Jimmy Choo and Montblanc Legend key to success
French perfume group Inter Parfums has said it expects to benefit this year to the tune of an extra €100m from three major launches. This has enabled the company to upgrade its sales forecast with the expectation of a 20% rise in 2011 sales to between €300m and €370m.
The new women's line, Burberry Body, has been highly visible across markets following significant investment in promotion and marketing, while the Jimmy Choo line has produced sales above initial projections. Meanwhile the Montblanc Legend men's line has also exceeded expectations and is proving another major source of growth for the group.
Inter Parfums adds that two other factors have helped the upgrading of the 2011 forecast – the renewal of the Lanvin brand has generated solid and regular growth from the Eclat d'Arpege, Jeanne Lanvin and Marry Me lines and the repositioning of the Van Cleef & Arpels perfumes has now resulted in consolidation in the wake of a number of launches.
