Kalina sells German production site

Russian C&T company Kalina has announced the sale of its German production site, which manufacturers Dr Scheller Cosmetics, to Weckerle Cosmetics and will be relocating the production of the brand back to Russia.


Russian C&T company Kalina has announced the sale of its German production site, which manufacturers Dr Scheller Cosmetics, to Weckerle Cosmetics and will be relocating the production of the brand back to Russia.

The deal, which is thought to be finalised in April, will not include the Manhattan, Manhattan Clearface and Apotheker Scheller brands or its office building in Esslingen. According to Kalina, by selling business operations in Germany Dr Scheller Cosmetics will be able to concentrate on the development of own brands without incurring production expenses and fixed investments.

The deal amount is reported to reach between $10-15m.
