Reneé Rapp has been named as the new ambassador for L’Oréal Paris.
The Mean Girls actress’ appointment was posted on L'Oréal’s Instagram on 4 February.
The post read: “Be loudly yourself. Be radical. Be truthful.
“Reneé Rapp embodies the L’Oréal Paris spirit of self-worth and empowerment. We are happy to welcome her to the L’Oréal Paris family!”
The French brand said Rapp is emerging as an entirely new Gen Z pop culture icon.
They described her as “resilient, fierce and on a journey towards self-confidence”, adding that she stands out as a champion of authenticity.
The 25-year-old is best known for starring as Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls in 2019.
She then played the same role in the 2024 remake of the Mean Girls film and also contributed to its soundtrack.
Rapp also starred in the comedy TV series The Sex Lives of College Girls.
In a statement, Rapp said: “I’m gassed to join L’Oréal Paris alongside incredible women who inspire people [and] embrace their strength in whatever form that may take”.
“In a time where it’s easy to let self-doubt and second guessing take over, be loudly yourself, be radical and be angry if you need to and be truthful.”
Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, L’Oréal Paris Global President, added: “L’Oréal Paris gives power to women, encouraging self-belief through one bold statement – ‘I’m worth it’.”
Viguier-Hovasse continued: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Reneé Rapp as a new brand ambassador.
“She is a feminist artist who embodies how to be your authentic self, embrace your choices and never be dictated to.”
