L’Oréal Paris has developed a new POS concept that aims to bring a new aspect to beauty retailing.

The Color Space, which will be available at the Big E fair held in West Springfield, Massachusetts, US is a 5,000sqft space, described as an interactive beauty pavilion, offering complimentary services and product samples from L’Oréal Paris trained professionals. Services will include skin care analysis and mini-makeovers featuring the brand’s best-selling cosmetic, hair care and hair colour ranges.

In addition the space will feature a PRO manicure bar, a sin care ‘lab’ with computer terminals to access the L’Oréal Paris website and a Truelight Pod, which recreates specific lighting environments so visitors can see how different light affects the look of make-up and hair tones.

The Color Lab will run from 18th September to 4th October, 2009.
