L'Oréal renews Liliane Bettencourt’s board status
Announcement ends speculation and controversy
The L'Oréal AGM has renewed the board membership of the major shareholder, company heiress Liliane Bettencourt for a period of four years. Bettencourt, who is 88, did not attend the meeting as she was in hospital after a fall.
The renewal of the mandate ends speculation and controversy about her presence on the board following the long running public dispute with her daughter Francoise, also a board member.
