L'Oreal uses Sanoflore to develop bio-cosmetics sector in Spain

L'Oréal is to launch its Sanoflore range of products in Spain with the aim of creating a new commercial area devoted to so-called bio-cosmetics based on natural extracts and essential oils. The director general responsible for Sanoflore, Stephane Richard, said it was hoped the enterprise, acquired in late 2006, would close the current year with sales of some €20m, rising to €300m by 2015.

The director of Sanoflore in Spain, Elisabeth Sardin, said the aim of the subsidiary would be to triple sales over the next three quarters. L'Oréal will distribute Sanoflore products only through Spanish pharmacies and will not be organising an advertising campaign as part of the launch.
