According to Linx the inks can be used on a wide variety of porous substrates such as paper, card, wood and ceramics. Linx inks for LCM are oil-based and dry rapidly, as well as boasting low odour, low volatility and good resistance to most organic solvents. Micropigments in the ink also ensure that the codes do not bleed or rub off porous substrates.

Linx will be exhibiting the new inks along with the IJ600 at the PPMA Show in Birmingham, UK, in September. The Linx Scribing Laser range, featuring improvements such as varied beam delivery options and product to lens distances, and the Linx 6900 Continuous Ink Jet range, capable of reducing solvent usage by up to 40% by adapting to printing conditions, will also be exhibited.
