L’Oréal Paris UK&I has announced a new collaboration with England football midfielder Declan Rice, building on an existing partnership between the brand and Rice’s home club, Arsenal.
L’Oréal Paris called the partnership a “natural evolution, celebrating excellence both on and off the pitch” in a company statement.
Rice will champion two of the brand’s leading beauty ranges, L’Oréal Men Expert and L’Oréal Paris Elvive.
"I am incredibly proud to be joining the L’Oréal Paris family,” said Rice.
“This partnership feels like the perfect fit and I am excited to work with this iconic brand.
“I am looking forward to the future working together.”
A new campaign, which will land in the new year, will see Rice showcasing the two product lines across digital media, social media, in-store activations and other platforms.
The partnership rounds off a strong year of football partnerships and collaborations across the beauty industry.
Earlier this year, Unilever-owned deodorant brand Rexona tapped Lioness footballer Lucy Bronze as an ambassador.
e.l.f. Cosmetics also bet big on the pitch via a partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Women.
Off the pitch, Remington tapped football pundit and Sky Sports regular Micah Richards to become the face of its Shave & Trim category.
