Estée Lauder's MAC cosmetics brand has joined up with Mattel to launch a limited edition Barbie line of MAC cosmetics for adults as part of its spring colour collection. The line will be available on beauty counters and in MAC stores by mid-February in the US, with an international roll out in March.

The new collection will consist of bright Barbie-esque spring colours in pinks and greens available in lipsticks, eyeliners, eye shadows, blushes, glosses and nail polishes. The range also includes a mascara, make-up brushes and a pink and black make-up bag. The hot pink and black packaging features a Barbie silhouette and an image of Barbie is embossed on the eye shadows.

The two companies have also collaborated on a limited edition MAC Barbie for sale in MAC freestanding stores. The cosmetics line will be available for three to four months.
