Marionnaud management struggles to meet workforce expectations

Marionnaud has received 700 requests for voluntary redundancy after publication of its social plan. The troubled perfume distributor earlier reduced the number of job cuts required as part of its recovery plan from 704 to 582 or 14% of the current workforce. No comment has been forthcoming from management on the number of offers but it is understood not all will be accepted.

A source on the group's works committee said the high number was related to the fact that four different managements in the past five years had failed to get Marionnaud back on the rails.
