Betapur, new from Engelhard, is a patented boldo extract selected among 300 substances by high throughput screening that induces the synthesis of HBD3 without provoking any inflammatory reaction.

Engelhard has found that Betapur activates the production of HBD3 without activating that of inflammatory cytokines. An optimal concentration of 2% (in vitro) creates a purifying action with no harmful effect on cell viability.

Patented to Engelhard, Betapur is indicated for daily care and cleansing use for the correction of acne and oily skin disorders.
